Energy Efficiency Incentives for Residential and Small Business
In October 2005, the state of California passed a new building code requiring duct sealing in several Climate Zones of the state when repair or replacements of HVAC system components are performed.
On October 15, 2006, Pacific Gas and Electric Company introduced a Duct Sealing Incentive Program for both the HVAC Contractor and the PG&E residential and small business Customer.
The program includes an incentive for qualified* technicians for Duct Testing and Duct Sealing for eligible customers who meet the required savings reduction goal with this type of energy efficiency repair or installation.
PG&E is unique in that we have TWO different types of participating Verification Services Provider (VSP)contractors:
- Wireless / Automated (WIRELESS/AUTO) VSP contractors who utilize the Enalasys wireless processes to record DTS, RCA, & TITLE 24 automatically and upload their data onto the eOnePlatform
- Manual Entry (ME) VSP contractors who record their DTS data points by entering the numbers into the eOnePlatform by hand:
NOTE: The DTS REBATE amount (sent directly from PG&E to the customer) is the same for either process.
